Safe and Sound: First Hunger Games Music Video Drop s Tonight

excited for tonight’s premiere of Taylor Swift’s Safe and Sound video? The song, which was the first publically acknowledged contribution to Official Hunger Games Soundtrack features an accompaniment by hot new duo The Civil Wars and is making its debut tonight at 7:54 PM, ET. The recently released video clip features a decidedly different version of the star – let’s call it “country- emo” – strolling through a winter-ridden deciduous forest – a nod to District 12’s suggested Application setting According to Entertainment Weekly.com, “the video will air during an MTV News special, MTV First: Taylor Swift. It will also premiere simultaneously across MTV's channels in Canada, Europe, Latin America, Australia, Asia and Africa.” Wow. Hunger Games devotees will also have the chance to catch a second viewing of the video six minutes later when it airs on CMT. The video is also set to be released onto MTV, VH1, CMT and MTV international websites at this same time In the special, MTV First: Taylor Swift, MTV will feature the artist introducing the video, which will then be followed by a half-hour interview with Swift. The live interview will be conducted by MTV news correspondent Sway Calloway, and will offer the opportunity for fans to connect with Swift via Twitter. According to the “Clewer TV” website, fans can submit questions for the artist at the social network via MTVNews, handles and hash-tags are #AskTaylor and #MTVFirst.. Swift and the Civil Wars picked up two awards each at last night’s (Feb. 12) Grammy Awards in LA Downloads for both Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars, including Safe and Sound, are available on both Tunes and Amazon.com. Taylor Swift’s upcoming album, which includes the single, is rumored include music embodying themes from the Hunger Games The Hunger Games OST is set to be released shortly before the film adaptation of the popular YA book is released. Nominated for an Oscar for her role in Winter’s Bone, 20-yer old Jennifer Lawerence, who plays title character Katniss Everdeen is rumored to be included on the soundtrack. The track, if included, wil feature the actress singing a death-nell lullabye to a fallen tribute. The Hunger Games movie adaptation is set to hit thaters on March 23. In addition to Lawerence, the film features a star-studded cast, including Wes Bentley and Lenny Kravitz ike No comments have been added yet.
